"I want to be an Angel!"
It’s that time of year again. It’s that time of year where I go on facebook and all I see are girl’s posting statuses about the “legendary” Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. No one mentions anything about the fashion.
It’s all “Look at her body!” “I feel so fat!” “I wish I could like them - where’s the lipo?”

I feel absolutely freezing right now…
”Your heart understood mine. In the depth of the fragrant night, I listened with ravished soul to your beloved voice. Your heart understood mine.”
The days are shorter, darkness settles over the city…I am craving mysterious woods to wander and a cabin warmed by crackling fire and hot apple cider.
Let’s drink to the military The glass is empty Faces to fill and cars to feed Nothing could beat complete denial All we do is talk, sit, switch screens As the homeland plans enemies All we do is talk, static split screens As the homeland plans enemies Invasion’s so succexxy

Reading is one form of escape. Running for your life is another.

You have played, (I think) And broke the toys you were fondest of, And are a little tired now; Tired of things that break, and— Just tired. So am I.
As I revel in waves of group project frustration that sweep over my body like cold sweats, i have decided to instead mentally revel in these half pool/half regeneration “gardens”.
….I’m swimming…..not thinking about hitting people in the head with a dictionary…..just swimming….. For a true natural pool with no help from ultraviolet light or other...
I have never been one for jewelry. I have never poured over photos of glittering stones, marveling at the clarity and cut. I rarely wear jewelry, and the only pieces I ever wore consistently were my mother’s wedding ring and my great grandmother’s amethyst ring. However work has dictated no jewelry for me, and I have complied without grudge.
I have always loved rough, or...

TCS recently published an interview with Nick Baylis that really spoke to me - he seems like a wise man!:- “Our education system and wider culture more generally is horribly oriented towards self-isolating, long-distance, passive consumerism [TV, i-Phones, computer screens, and pizza], and is the complete antithesis of what would bring healthy life-satisfaction: creating hands-on adventures...
“Break Me” I will meet you In some place Where the light lends itself To soft repose I will let you undress me But I warn you I have thorns Like any rose And you could hurt me With your bare hands You could hurt me With with the sharp end Of what you say But I’m lost to you now And there’s no Amount of reason That could save me So break me Take me Just let me Feel your...
Group Projects. Every Student hates them. Every professor things they’re the best thing since sliced bread. I have been the victim of many throughout my college career and only one went relatively smoothly. The rest turned out more like “I’ll do all the work while you disappear, leaving me hating your soul and hoping you burn in eternal fire.”
I am currently in three...
Accept who you are and revel in it.

The Secret
don’t worry, nobody has the beautiful lady, not really, and
nobody has the strange and hidden power, nobody is exceptional or wonderful or magic, they only seem to be it’s all a trick, an in, a con, don’t buy it, don’t believe it. the world is packed with billions of people whose lives and deaths are useless and when one of these jumps up and the light of...
I’ve always loved planning. Outlining and figuring out what I need to do to accomplish something has always been fun for me. As I plan for my second semester of my junior year, suddenly planning for my future feels very real. Very tactile. Suddenly I’m looking at internships, and certification programs and the very real possibility of moving. The possibilities are on one hand...
What are your plans for the weekend? Sipping hot chocolate while munching on something homemade and yummy sounds pretty nice right now.
Are you worried about something? Try this:
Picture that the Grand Canyon is your life—your past, present and future. Start envisioning the various parts of your life within the canyon: Over there is the day you were born, your third-grade choir performance, your job as a babysitter. Picture your present: There’s your apartment, your friends, your mom, the book you’re reading...
